Experienced in working on major and complex projects, our UK team, based in London, supports an impressive portfolio including Crossrail, Thames Tideway and HS2, as well specialising in the protection of critical rail assets as part of major station upgrade projects such as Kings Cross, Tottenham Court Rd and Bond Street.

About the role

Due to our expanding workload we currently have a number of opportunities for Technicians to work in our instrumentation and monitoring team on major civil engineering infrastructure projects in the London area.

We are looking for candidates with either a background in instrumentation and monitoring or a relevant construction related field e.g. surveying, geotechnical engineering or electronics. You should be a reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working team player with a desire to learn. Responsibilities

  • Lead by example to ensure safe delivery of the work.
  • Carry out site installations, maintenance and decommissioning of various types of structural and geotechnical monitoring equipment.
  • Configure and maintain remote monitoring sensors and networks.
  • Undertake manual monitoring readings; record and report results.

 

Profile

  • Highly motivated with relevant industry experience or background, ideally including monitoring projects or survey.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Should hold a CSCS card.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel.
  • Ability to work alone or within a team.
  • Ability to interface with clients and other contractors.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Excellent time and task management and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Relevant qualification (degree qualified or city and guilds/NVQ) in a construction related field e.g. surveying or monitoring would be beneficial.
  • Evidence of supervisor training, SSSTS, first aid or similar would be beneficial.
